Remember when Mer & I made that paper chain for 365 days until the Bahamas? Well we finally took the last one off. We left Nov. 5 and boy was that a trip to remember. We went with her parents, her aunt & uncle, along with their neighbors and daughters [Mal and Marissa] I almost couldn't get into the country because something went wrong with my birth certificate.... long story. it was 1:45 when we arrived to our unit and it was tradition that we all ate Conchfritters and a bacon cheeseburger. I don't know how many hours I spent out in the sun, but it was well worth it because now I have a nice tan for Hawaii. Monday we got our hair done. My hair is in full braids. But not for long only because I wouldn't want to go to school with it.
From Parasailing to a Dolphin Encounter and shopping, there were a lot of things to do, but enough time to relax and be a bum :-) I tried a number of drinks, but my favorite one that I always made sure I'd have at least one a day was my Kahlua Sombrero. I tried the Bahemian beer called Kalik, however it would have been better if it was light. Miami Vice, Pina Colada, Westwind Chill, Gin and Tonic, and some other drink Marissa had me drink..... nothing too bad.
We went out to dinner a lot, and Debbie & Ed came down for a day. I found my prom dress :-D it's gorgeous and it's by a designer called ABS. Some celebrity wore it sometime ago. No pictures only because it's a surprise muahahahahahah. I'm getting it made, I think. Mer came in the dressing room with me to take pictures of it and many people had questionable faces when we went in together. It was hilarious. We even played bingo with die hard bingo players. Everyone one at my table won at least 3 times. ahahahahah perfect.
I got a coconut monkey and named it Pete....... theres a story to that though. I even went to a casino and used the slots. Very exciting I must say.... and addicting.
I spent a lot of money...... not always a good thing when you're going to Boston next weekend. But yesterday was the longest day and I'm just glad I'm home. I missed it. I missed everyone.
